Lyllie Harvey, Director of Operations
Lyllie achieved her Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2017. She is currently working towards her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling, and will graduate in Summer 2021. Lyllie’s background is in working with individuals who experience behavioral challenges, trauma history, and crisis de-escalation. Her focus in her work outside of Camp Thorpe is aimed at building resiliency and supporting healing from trauma. At Camp Thorpe, she loves working with diverse campers and their families, as well as focusing on improving systems and our summer programming. Lyllie’s uncle, has autism, and she fondly remembers learning about the gifts that neurodiverse individuals have to offer to the world. She is passionate about improving advocacy for neurodiverse community members who are often left out of conversations and the decisions made for on their behalf. Lyllie is yet to spend a summer with Camp Thorpe, but her favorite part of the week is when she attends the zoom activities with our campers. Lyllie loves working with people of all backgrounds, and has happily worked with Heather to maintain and improve the wonderful community that makes Camp Thorpe so special. In her free time Lyllie enjoys spending time with her four legged family including her dog Bodhi, and her cat Zeda. Lyllie also likes hiking and adventuring in the mountains and waterways of Vermont.
