Jessica Houck, Assistant Director for Evening Programs and Camper Support

Jess is a local elementary special educator here in Vermont.  She has worked at Camp Thorpe for 9 years in a variety of roles including: general counselor, sports counselor,  and Assistant Director of Camper Support. Camp Thorpe holds a special place in her heart.  She enjoys putting smiles on the campers’ faces with her mischief, whether she is “walking the plank” into the pond or doing the “Y.M.C.A” dressed as a T-Rex.  She can’t wait to dance and sing her heart out at Camp this summer. She looks forward to seeing all of the familiar faces of camp and getting to know those who are new!

Amy-Louise Hill, Assistant Director

Amy is a Mental Health Co-Ordinator in the UK, and has worked at camp for 8 years. Amy has had many roles at camp including General Counselor, Music Counselor, Head Counselor and Assistant Director. She has just completed her BA Hons in Education Studies, and will be moving on to do her MA in Psychology after camp. Amy loves camp and loves returning every year and can’t wait to see all campers both returning and new this summer!!

Heidi’s family at home consists of 7 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 dogs.  She has also been working as a professional photographer for 17 years. In her SPARE TIME, nurse Heidi likes to do crafts, go camping, kayaking, traveling with her family and she loves to read! Each year she travels to Honduras as part of a group of nurses that brings medical care to areas where there is no access to Healthcare. This will be her 6th summer as a camp nurse and her 5th at Thorpe!
